Marketing with Max

Use Max to plan campaigns, manage content, review marketing intelligence, and control publishing and approvals.

Max leads Marketing. Use Max to turn a business objective into coordinated campaign, content, publishing, and review work while keeping external actions under your control.

Start with current business context#

Complete Max's guided setup and keep your offer, audience, positioning, channels, and constraints current in Settings → Profile and Max's Memory. When a request depends on a temporary fact such as a launch date or budget, include it in the task rather than treating it as permanent memory.

Use Home and Executive for orientation#

Home is the conversational starting point for new work. Executive summarizes the department at a higher level so you can see priorities and results without opening every working surface.

Use Catch Up after time away to review what changed. Work Queue shows work waiting or moving through the department, Live Ops shows current execution, and Execution History helps you inspect earlier runs.

Move campaigns and content forward#

Use Campaigns for campaign goals, timing, status, and coordinated work. The Content area brings together planned and active content:

  • Overview summarizes content work.
  • Pipeline shows where each item sits in the process.
  • Website, Templates, and Media support website content when those features are available.
  • Creative coordinates visual work with Sarah.
  • Newsletter manages newsletter work.
  • Publishing shows scheduled and delivery activity.

A pipeline status describes progress; it does not prove that an item is live at its destination. Confirm publication or delivery in the result and, when necessary, at the connected provider.

Read Create and publish content and Marketing campaigns and content pipeline before enabling external delivery.

Turn intelligence into decisions#

Weekly Digest summarizes important developments. Under Insights, use Signals for observations, Opportunities for possible actions, Audience Intelligence and Competitor Intelligence for research, Profile Audit for channel profile findings, and Risk Reviews for items needing judgment.

These surfaces do not all represent the same level of certainty. A signal is an observation, an opportunity is a proposed course of action, and a risk review asks for a decision. Open the item and inspect its evidence before acting.

Use Analytics for measured performance and Reports for finished analysis. Treat estimates and recommendations as such, and check the source, time period, audience, and comparison before changing a campaign.

Give Max a useful brief#

State the business result, target audience, market, dates, budget or limits, channels, required output, and approval boundary.

Build a two-week campaign plan for our payroll service. Target small retailers in the Netherlands. Prepare the plan and draft copy, but do not publish.

For public content, verify product claims, prices, dates, links, legal text, and the final destination.

Connect tools and control access#

Connectors shows services Max can use. A service may be connected globally but unavailable to Max until department access is granted. MCP tools can also be disabled, allowed, or placed behind approval.

Read Connectors before granting access to a publishing or messaging service.

Manage Max#

Use Max's Memory for approved reusable context, Artifacts for retained work products, and Settings for the controls available to your workspace. Choose the lowest autonomy that supports the process. Guarded actions can still require approval at higher autonomy.

Pausing Max stops new department work but may not cancel a run already in progress. Check Workflows, Live Ops, and the provider before assuming an external action stopped.
